Last year. In winter I was driving through a small town on the Isle of wight at around 8 pm and a peacock flew overvthe car. Almost fucking died of shock.

Peacocks kill more people than mosquitos and hippos put together. Their fan tails open with such force it can blind a human at 100 yards away.
The noise they make has been known to burst the ear canal. A peacocks beak peck has been measured at having more pressure per square inch than a crocodile and lion.
A peacocks claw is sharper than a great white sharks teeth. A peacocks can eat 2 million mosquitos before daybreak.

The hippo racks up the numbers by being sinking dugouts and canoes rather than chomping people in half - so I understand.
But everything pales into insignificance when you add mosquitos to the leaderboard, of course......

Though why anyone would choose to go for a swim with one is a mystery. 'Hmmm... There's a nice muddy hole with a huge, savage, and notoriously bad tempered and sharp-toothed animal in it. Think I'll get the old Speedos on and go for a bit of a wallow...'
